Before becoming pregnant with my beautiful second daughter, I rediscovered my love of dancing. Very few people know (because it’s embarrassing as all get out) that I was the under twelve’s Australasian Line dancing champion (yeah, yeah, laugh it up). As I grew up, I think I came to the conclusion that it was a child’s pursuit.
In any event, in an attempt to shift baby weight from my first pregnancy, I took up ZUMBA. I loved it so much I took the instructor training course! Then blessed little Ari made me so sick I couldn’t move, and when that cleared up the sciatica had kicked in so long story short, I’ve spent the past 12 odd months in traction. Unable to dance, heck barely able to walk. So, one major resolution for this year is to get back into ZUMBA again.
First though, I have to shift the sciatica so I can move.
I have, as always, a whole list of resolutions regarding the blog and my career… ‘post regularly’ and ‘have one’ topping the list.
Then there is the house. Oi, the house… it needs cleaning and decorating. The garden needs doing. Speaking of the garden, I once again want to have a go at this growing food thing. We’ve inherited a palatial aviary that the previous owner used to breed canaries (he must have had a million of them). Since it is already designed to keep tiny birds in, I figure it should work pretty well to keep the little buggers out too!
In short, we’re looking at a bit of a life overhaul here. House, body, and mind.
Don’t do anything small do I?

Oh I love zumba as well.
It’s one of my favorite every day routine to do when I was in college.
That was the reason why my waistline before was really good.
